A Simpsons fanatic made a real house which looks exactly like the house from the cartoon. Located in Henderson, Nevada.
UPDATE:
Apparently, the house wasn't built by a Simpsons fan. The $120,000 house was constructed for use as the grand prize in a contest sponsored by Pepsi, Fox, and the homebuilder. The contest was known as "The Simpsons House Give Away".

ReplyDeleteNo, the person who won the house decided to take the cash instead. Anyway the builder of the house repained it and sold it as a normal house. It is located at 712 Red Bark Lane, Henderson, NV. It looks different from the other houses in the neigborhood in that it has double hung windows and bay windows like a traditional east/midwest colonial, rather than the Southwestern architecture of the other houses on the block.

ReplyDeleteGarage is all wrong, though. Should be on an extension that's a little way back from the front of the rest of the house. I'd take the money too - I wouldn't want to live in a _near_ replica.
