Casualties of War: Special Toy Soldiers

Soldiers who since return from duty in Iraq and Afghanistan are involved in brawls, beatings, rapes, drunk driving, drug deals, domestic violence, shootings, stabbings, kidnapping and suicides.

Three times as many veterans and active service members are dying soon after returning home than those being killed in Iraq and Afghanistan combined.

We hear little about the personal hell soldiers live through after returning home.
This is a tribute to them. By Dorothy.

Its pretty harsh but definitely a strong statement. Wonder if there is a similar version of the innocent victims that die during the wars…

  1. Why are you incapable of posting a proper referral link instead of just to the main page?

  2. OK, you may not like war, but this particular piece of "design" is despicable. Shame on you.

To even have the word "tribute" as a tag for this shows how sh*tty your thinking is.

  3. I am appalled by the way you both address me. Please do so, with a nicer tone.

As for links, I don't see the big deal as long as I give credit to the website I found it on. If you prefer more "direct" links, a simple suggestion would have sufficed and I would gladly do it in future posts.

As for the the second comment. How is the design despicable? How is the fact that it is a tribute to suffering victims of war (whether it be soldiers or innocent victims) "shitty".

The project is a tribute, whether you like it or not. Objectively speaking, that was the goal of the project.

I am from the middle east. I have witnessed and experienced war most of my life. I do not even tolerate the idea of war. But war IS a reality that we're living. And whether you like it or not, these soldiers who go to war have their own side of the story....They are not criminals. In fact the things they see at war, the things they experience or are forced to do..things that never would have wanted to do in different circumstances, are the reason behind their actions and behavior when they return home.

If you have any comments, please do so with a bit of respect.

    Thank you.
