How Microsoft Designed Its New Logo



Andrew Watson, a graphic artist and lover of fonts, hilariously created this graphic which points out “how” Microsoft created its brand spanking new logo: by using Apple’s go to font Myriad Pro and making a few tweaks. The font Microsoft uses is called Segoe but it’s more funny to make this connection:

this is what happens when mac users design a logo for microsoft. :P had a pc user designed the logo, it wouldnt resemble apple's style.

Where the s and t meet is actually called a ligature. Also Myriad Pro was not created by Apple, it was a typeface developed by Adobe which is also used in the current Rolls Royce (auto) logo, and the last three letters of Google's Gmail logo.
