Project designer and recent graduate from the Masters program at ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne in Switzerland, Qiyun Deng, designed Graft, a set of disposable tableware that looks like vegetables. The pieces are made from bioplastic PLA, a material that’s usually made from plants.
Each utensil and bowl is a reminder that these beautiful parts of nature that are full of texture and form can be utilized for another purpose – a celery stem works as the handle for a fork, petals from an artichoke become a spoon.
